Responsiveness / Mobile and beyond
A responsive website audit for the screens people use.
Your desktop layout might look fine while a phone menu hides the next step or a wide table pushes the page sideways. I try the agreed pages at different sizes to find where the layout and controls stop working as expected.
This mobile website audit also covers larger screens, in-between widths, orientation, and zoom. Relevant source-code review helps connect the visible problem to a practical change.
Focused responsive review
$250 USD
Review of agreed pages across screen sizes. We'll confirm which pages and user flows are included before starting.

Find website layout issues on mobile.
I check what happens to the content and the tasks people need to complete. A layout that fits the screen can still have controls that are hard to tap or an error message hidden below a form.
The review includes widths between your intended breakpoints. Those are often where wrapping, overflow, or an awkward combination of desktop and mobile styles becomes visible.
- Menus, sticky headers, and off-canvas navigation across screen sizes.
- Form input types, mobile keyboards, autofill, and error visibility.
- Horizontal overflow, text wrapping, and grid or flex layout behavior.
- Touch target size, spacing, and gesture alternatives.
- Long words, tables, images, and embedded content.
- Landscape orientation, text resizing, and browser zoom.
Give your team a reproducible layout problem.
The report records the affected page, screen width, and steps that reveal each issue, with screenshots where useful. I'll explain the impact and recommend changes tied to the relevant code.
We'll walk through a prioritized task list together. That gives your team a starting point for fixing the pages and checking similar components elsewhere. Implementation and re-testing can be scoped separately.
The audit covers the pages and test conditions we agree on. It doesn't certify every device and browser combination. Read more about why responsive design matters.
Questions about mobile usability
How can I answer "is my website mobile friendly"?
Try the tasks your visitors need to complete on a narrow screen. Check whether the menu works, text stays readable, buttons are easy to tap, and forms can be completed without content getting cut off. The audit documents those checks and the issues they reveal on the agreed pages.
Is checking a few common phone widths enough?
It can miss problems between those widths or when someone turns a phone sideways. I also check in-between sizes and zoom because the available space changes with the device, browser, and how someone uses it.
Does the $250 audit include accessibility and performance?
This review focuses on responsive behavior. Some findings may overlap with accessibility, such as small touch targets or content that doesn't reflow, but a full WCAG review and Core Web Vitals diagnosis have their own scope. We can combine them in a Full Frontend Health Audit.
Which pages are awkward on a phone?
Send me your URL and any layouts or controls you're concerned about. We'll agree on the pages to review and the scope before work begins.
